you can use xfire, but bc2 has its own friends list built in, so use that and its pretty easy to locate people

meh, i personally like 2142 better. though i really like the destructible environment of bc2 and other things.

So far, finding it fun when playing with you guys, but haven't found good squad play on pubs.

Kinda frustrating to be stuck earning XP for a specific class only to find the next weapon you get is basically worse or just equal to the weapon you started with or already had (e.g. Recon class).

I miss the vehicle heavy environment of BF2 for the conquest maps. What was most fun about this is that the vehicles were typically able to battle against the vehicles (choppers, jets, tanks, AA etc.) and the personnel were then able to focus on each other. So, if you got bored with trying to flag cap, you could try to hop in a chopper etc. for a bit of fun.

I'm just getting owned by all the people with the top weapons able to pick me off with great accuracy at long range etc. because they have those weapons. It's very tempting to just do rush on our server when it's empty to just get the XP faster.

Still having probs with getting people friended. It would be fun to have a night when we setup at least a squad on one team on our server to play as a squad.
